This past Sunday, Unity on Maui was the site of a truly inspiring event that showcased the boundless power of compassion and collaboration. What made this gathering so unique was the partnership between What Makes You Feel Beautiful and Roaming with Carri and Compass Tours, visitors who came to Maui not just as tourists but as changemakers.

🌺 How It All Began

Last year, Roaming with Carri and Compass Tours reached out to our organization after being referred to us by someone who admired our mission. They were planning a visit to Maui in January 2025 but didn’t want to be just visitors—they wanted to give back. Partnering with us, they provided gift cards to 60 families affected by the Maui fires, helping them purchase what they needed most during this difficult time.

🌟 The Power of Generosity and Community

The event was a testament to the strength of community, both local and global. Volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly, creating a welcoming environment filled with aloha. Families left not only with the gift cards but also with a renewed sense of hope.

🎵 Music That Moved Us

The day was made even more magical by a moving performance from Tanama Colibri, whose heartfelt rendition of our theme song reminded everyone of the power of art to connect and uplift.

💬 A Message of Gratitude

“We are so grateful to Roaming with Carri and Compass Tours for turning their time on Maui into a mission of kindness,” shared Monica Marrow, Executive Director of What Makes You Feel Beautiful. “This event was proof that no matter where we come from, we can come together to create meaningful change.”

This unforgettable day showed that the aloha spirit knows no borders. Together, we’re building a brighter, more connected future for Maui’s families.
