Held at her lively location in the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center, the event was brimming with excitement as the room quickly filled with MAUI GEMS participants, their friends, and families. Pizza was provided to fuel the creativity before participants were led in painting the koi fish pond scene. Mary’s MAUI GEMS intern had the special honor of selecting the painting for the event, choosing serene fish in a pond. Guided by Mary’s expert instruction, the attendees spent the evening creating their masterpieces. This choice not only sparked creativity but also offered a togetherness, fun and therapeutic experience for everyone involved.
