When we launched the MAUI GEMS program in 2023, we had one mission: to create a safe, empowering space where young girls could grow, thrive, and break cycles of hardship. Last year, thanks to generous donors like you, we saw incredible transformations. Girls built confidence, explored new career paths, and found lifelong mentors.
But today, we face a heartbreaking reality: our primary grant funding did not come through this year. Even more challenging, a federal decision has temporarily paused nonprofit access to government grants, preventing us from applying for crucial funds to sustain the program.
The need hasn’t disappeared. If anything, it’s greater than ever. Many of our girls are still recovering from the devastation of last year’s fires and ongoing financial struggles. MAUI GEMS provides more than mentorship—it offers hope, stability, and life-changing guidance.
