Holiday Fundraising Art Party for What Makes You Feel Beautiful

We are excited to announce that our 1st Annual Holiday Party Fundraiser is Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Island Art Party, Kihei. With the goal of continuing our mission to provide greater access to educational and human services to support women and girls.

The history of gender bias has always been present in our society. With an average 67% wage gap between women and men at an educational level of HS. An 82% gap at College level. Post pandemic has shown Women are the highest report of un/no employment. Due to the effects of Social services, Childcare and the expectations of them in our current new world. Women are willing to take lower pay and find themselves trying to navigate a system that has always had them at a disadvantage.

Our Mentor Program provides 1 on 1 mentoring focused on skill development, goal achievement, problem solving, overall leadership building, and increasing all-round life skills. Locally trained women have become mentors in our Mentor Program providing their mentees with viable and feasible guidance with great results.

Current national factors (Roe vs Wade) shows that organizations like What Makes You Feel Beautiful is needed to provide women a platform that provides resources, tools, referrals, and overall sisterhood for generations to come. 

We always base our programs on elevation, empowerment and positive motivation. Exposing women to other women leading the way for them to see. Inspiring them to say "if they can do it, so can I!". Providing a road map to success and growth. Without this organization women who are seeking guidance will continue to feel lost, hopeless, and uninspired.

As a newly formed 501(c)(3) organization based on Maui, What Makes You Feel Beautiful began in 2019 by organizing a local campaign designed to increase personal development awareness including interviews and advertisements. 

There is more work to be done and immense potential for What Makes You Feel Beautiful to continue to serve as a resource for women and girls, in Hawaii and beyond, and we appreciate your contribution towards our request.
